This free chapter summarizer turns a book or textbook chapter into a short summary you can read in a few minutes. Upload the chapter as a PDF, a Word file, or an EPUB, take a photo of the pages, or paste the text. The AI writes the summary in clear sections that follow the chapter. Then pull out the key points, or turn the same chapter into flashcards and a quiz with one click. No sign up and no card.

Why use this chapter summarizer

Sections that follow the chapter

Each part of the chapter gets a heading and a short summary, in the order you read it.

PDF, EPUB, Word, or a photo

Use the file you have. A printed book works too: take a photo of the page.

Two ways to read it

Sections for a full read, outline for a quick scan, and read aloud where the browser supports it.

Then study it

Key points, flashcards, a quiz, or a mind map from the same chapter. No second upload.

Who it's for

Students with reading assignments

Get the shape of a chapter before class, then read the parts that matter most.

Book readers

Exam reviewers

Turn each textbook chapter into a short summary, then test yourself on it.

Questions

How do I summarize a chapter?

Upload the chapter as a PDF, .docx, or EPUB, take a photo of a page, or paste the text. Press Summarize the chapter. You get up to 6 sections, each with a heading and a short summary.

Can I summarize a whole book?

It works best one chapter at a time. A long file is read up to a limit on the free tool, and the result tells you when it stopped early. Split a book into chapters for a better summary of each.

Does it work on an ebook?

Yes. EPUB files work, as long as they are not locked with copy protection. Word, OpenDocument, RTF, Markdown, and plain text work too.

What if I only have the printed book?

Take a photo of the page. Hold it flat, use good light, and fill the frame. The AI reads the text and summarizes it.

Can I get a shorter version?

Switch to the outline view for a quick scan, or press Key points under the summary for the main facts as a list. It can also read the summary aloud where your browser supports it.

Is it free?

Yes, no account and no card. There is a small daily limit on free runs. Sign up free to keep the summary with flashcards and a quiz from the same chapter.
