This free textbook to flashcards maker turns a chapter into cards you can study today. Upload the chapter as a PDF, an EPUB, or a Word file, or take a photo of a page from a paper book. The AI writes one fact per card, and each card is checked against a quote from your pages. Practice in five modes on this page, edit any card, or export the deck to Anki. No sign up and no card.

01

Give it your source

Upload a PDF, a doc, slides or an ebook, or upload a photo of the page. No account needed.

02

Run the tool

The AI reads your source on our server and writes the result. A long file takes a little longer.

03

Study or save

Use it right away, or save it to a free library and get the full study kit from the same source.

Why use this textbook to flashcards

One chapter, one deck

Upload the chapter you are on and get the cards for it. No typing out definitions by hand.

Paper books too

A photo of the page works. The camera is the scanner.

Five ways to practice

Flip, Learn, Write, Match, and a graded Test, all on this page. Edit or add cards under All cards.

Export to Anki

Take the deck as a real Anki file (.apkg), or as CSV, Markdown, JSON, or a print sheet.

Who it's for

High school and college students

Turn the assigned chapter into cards the night it is assigned, not the night before the test.

Med and nursing students

Dense chapters full of terms become cards without an hour of typing.

Self-learners

Study a textbook on your own and keep what you read with a deck per chapter.

Questions

How do I turn a textbook into flashcards?

Upload the chapter as a PDF, an EPUB, or a Word file, or take a photo of the page. Press Make flashcards. The AI writes up to 12 question and answer cards from it, one fact per card.

Can I do the whole textbook at once?

No. Run one chapter at a time. A long file is read up to a limit on the free tool, and the result tells you when it stopped early. Cards from one chapter are also easier to study.

I only have a paper textbook. Will it work?

Yes. Take a photo of the page. Hold it flat, use good light, and fill the frame. A word the AI cannot read is marked, not guessed.

Are the cards only from my book?

Yes. Each card carries a short quote from your pages, and the server checks it. A card it cannot trace back to the text is dropped.

Can I export to Anki?

Yes. Download an Anki deck (.apkg), a file Anki or Quizlet can import, a CSV, Markdown, or JSON. You can also print the cards or save them as a PDF.

Is it free?

Yes, no account and no card. There is a small daily limit on free runs. Sign up free to save the deck and review it on a spaced schedule.
