Why use this youtube to notes

Notes, not a summary

Every topic gets its own heading with the points under it, so the notes follow the lecture from start to end.

No watching twice

The AI reads the captions. You read the notes. A 90 minute lecture becomes a page you can skim in a minute.

Flashcards and a quiz from the same link

One click turns the same video into a deck or practice questions. No pasting the link again.

Most videos work

Any video with captions, auto-generated ones included. That covers most of what is on YouTube.

Who it's for

Self-learners

Exam reviewees

Cut a long review video down to the points that will be on the test, then quiz yourself on them.

Questions

How do I turn a YouTube video into notes?

Paste the video link above and press Make notes. The AI reads the video's captions and writes notes: each topic as a heading with the main points under it, in the order they come up. Copy them, print them, or turn the same video into flashcards or a quiz with one click.

Does it work on any YouTube video?

Any video that has captions, including auto-generated ones, which is most of them. A video with captions turned off will not work here.

How long a video can it handle?

Lectures are fine. A very long video is cut to about 12,000 characters of captions per run. Sign up free to process the whole thing.

Are the notes only from the video?

Yes. They come from the captions of the video you paste, not from the subject in general. If the lecturer did not say it, it is not in the notes.

Can I get flashcards or a quiz from the same video?

Yes. After the notes appear, press Flashcards or Quiz under them. Both are built from the same video with no second fetch.

Is it free?

Yes, no account and no card. Sign up free to keep the notes, the flashcards, and the quiz in one place and review them on a schedule.
